  1. First Step when acquiring a new piece of jewellery it is to analyse in your mind 'Does this piece of designed jewellery have meaning and functional purpose to the wearer?'

Can the piece of jewellery be identified to a personality?

All jewellery has a meaning and or function.

Is the purpose of the jewellery matching the wearer's identity?

Meaning, when looking at a piece of jewellery, it needs to be assessed if the jewellery will match the occasion and have meaning to the wearer.

All to often I see people wearing jewellery simply because its popular or has been seen on a celebrity.  I can immediately visualise this person as having lost some of their own identity.

Jewellery is designed to express and create an impression.

Durability

   2. Secondly, Durability is a key ingredient for long lasting jewellery, which will endeavour to be a heirloom within families all over the worlds.  With craft ship in consideration, the jewellery could reflect in ways of the locking or mechanism system of fastening to the wearer.

Jewellery needs to fit on the desired body part with comfort and accentuate the region.  The piece needs to withstand certain amounts of movement and fluctuation of services on the skin need to be considered.

For one example when looking at a piece of jewellery for the wrist or upper arm, it has to have curves in the right places to sit or to be adjusted around the wearer's natural symmetry.

INVESTMENT

3.  The third really important factor to consider when making a purchase, is " Is the metal or materials used considered precious in the stockmarket?"

Seriously, the jewellery needs to have a base scrap value.

Do not be dismayed
